Love Wins
Verse
Let us be patient,
Let us be kind,
Let us not envy,
nor be boastful and proud
To seek not selfishness,
To not anger fast
Not pile up sins
Nor rejoice in evil
Pre Chorus
All else fades away
All else fades away
Chorus
Our preaching will finish
Our singing will stop
We have seen the end
Love Wins!
Love Wins!
Love Wins!
Love Wins!

I thought you'd like to know that John Franke's The Character of Theology is selling at 4.95 at the 'Rong. I think you'll find it v.interesting.
btw. I'm trying to view these videos of yours but they're taking an age to stream.
bbtw. I like your lyrics to the song. Question: Do you read 1 Cor 13 missionally? how?
hey somebody has a slow net connection ;)
with the 1Cor13 i suppose i am reading it "communally" so insted of reading in the "i" reading it in the "we" i think perhaps that is the better way to read it in the context of the discussion about worship....
so then if our worship is "missional" then this can be our manifesto of love...
just a thought...
Like where you are going with this Andy. I was reading something the other day that basically said, if there is not a power shift in worship, it is not authentic worship, for we worship a god of justice, a god who weeps when the poor are exploited, when war reigns, where love is absent. Worship means to give up our idols. If we treat is nothing more than an outpouring of sentimentality it is nothing. 1 Corinthians 13, understood properly, truly is a manifesto for revolution.
ok new rule... every reply to this post must contain the word manifesto... ;)
thanks matt, i am hopeing to start recording some more songs for the mission soon... perhaps ill get busy over the summer holidays...
I'm beginning to see that all Scripture can and should be read missionally insofar as it is "caught up" in the ongoing mission of God to the world.
P.S. manifesto ;)
yeh totally agree alex, i think that our concern for so long has been to read scripture in the "whats this say to ME" way that we have neglected to also ask "What is this saying to US", both to the church and to culture as a whole....
ummmm sooooo like manifesto.....
Performance is at the heart of every Mustang ever built. The unique thrill of opening up on that straight line. The quick and responsive downshift. Not to mention the legendary power under the hood and that throaty growl that comes with it.
